Bent or Dished 9" Round Jack FeetUpdated 8 months ago

With this particular leveling system, your footplates may have actually begun to bend and dish under the weight of the RV causing them to become a concave shape.

This bending is an issue with these 9” round metal feet suffering metal fatigue and changing shape due to the weight of larger Class A models, and unfortunately, can occur on brand new RV's.

As seen in the photos below, the left foot is bent or dished whereas the right foot is what these 9" feet should look like to fit into a SnapPad.

Unfortunately, we cannot make a specific SnapPad design for these bent or dished 9" feet. The SnapPads were made to fit the factory flat 9" round footplates, so once these feet begin to bend and dish, their height will exceed the inner cavity of the SnapPads. This inner cavity is 0.83" wide. These feet should not be any higher than about 1/4" from top edge to the even ground surface below. (As seen in the photo below.)

We would suggest checking all of your landing feet for this dishing. On a flat, even ground surface, lower your jacks down, place a tape measure on the ground, and measure up to the top edge of the foot to see if this is higher than 1/4". If so, the SnapPads may be difficult to impossible to install on the feet, as the inner cavity of the pad will only be around 1/4" deep.

Here is a photo of the 9" foot as it should look, and what the XTRA line of pads were designed to fit.

You can definitely replace your bent feet if this looks to be what is occurring and if you wish to add SnapPads to your setup! Here are a few options.

Option #1.

You can replace your bent 9" feet with the same 9" round foot design direct from the Manufacturer.
