Why is the texture of my NEW SnapPads different from OLD SnapPads?Updated a year ago

If you have previously owned SnapPads you may have noticed a difference in the color and texture of the pads, but rest assured you still get all the same great benefits! This is only due to the variation of tire crumb being used by our manufacturers. There can be color and texture variations with the bulk tire crumb material depending on the supplier, but this will not affect the pads at all, so not to worry!

Since we have expanded manufacturers , we had to experiment with the mix across different producers to ensure a consistent product. This new mix, with a coarser tire crumb, may not look as "finished" as the previous pads, but it is actually stronger and more durable over the long-term, which we felt was more important. The coarser crumb is stronger because the urethane is more evenly coated on every granule, and a more evenly coated layer of “glue” allows for a stronger overall bond.
