Why Won’t The Base Fit My Andersen Buckets?Updated 10 months ago

The Base by RV SnapPad was designed to fit the ‘Andersen Hitches Trailer Jack Block’ (Bucket) prior to 2023.  

It has come to our attention that Andersen Hitches has redesigned their ‘Andersen Hitch Bucket’ (2023), and we have found that this new design is not compatible with The Base by SnapPad.

Unfortunately, the new design has a slightly larger diameter at the base of the bucket (now 12.5”) where previously, this diameter was 12”. This makes the new bucket design too big to safely fit into the recessed area of The Base, which is designed to hold the bucket in place and provide added stability and protection.

There are some other characteristics with the new design that can be markers to determine which product you have, and which will be compatible with the SnapPad Base product.

Original Andersen Bucket Design

This bucket design is compatible with The Base.

• Pre-2023 Production.
• Top branding around outside of magnets.
• Flat interior support edges.
• 12” bottom diameter.

New Andersen Bucket Redesign

This new bucket design is not compatible with The Base.

• 2 large finger holes on the top.
• 2023 or newer production.
• Top branding inside of magnets.
• Notch on interior support edges.
• 12.5” bottom diameter.

We are currently looking into this redesigned product and may consider a solution down the road, but at this time, we do not have an option for this slightly larger bucket version.
